A regular Thursday in Texas, people go to their jobs and do their things. It’s hot and sunny day. I never thought of living in Texas for three years. I dreamed of living abroad for few years, but not in Texas for three years. The beginning chapter of my adulting started here. My first job and my first time living somewhere I never lived and I know anyone.

Having a job, making money, and having freedom is all we want when we are kids. In reality, adulting hits us as hard as possible. You will have responsibilities that you never had, you will make every decision by yourself, and you will make tons of mistakes.

Living far from your family and having no one who experienced what you are going through are hard. You do things without knowing what you can expect. You make decisions without having same experiences. You will fail, you will loose, you will hurt, and you will realize you are not the only one, but you are just the ordinary one. After number of failures, you realize it is okay to fail, and no one is perfect. Don’t try too hard, but just try your best and do what you can do. We can’t control everything, thus we don’t need to be anxious because we can’t control things we can’t control. This is a natural law, this is what Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas tried to teach us. There is a difference between things we have control and things we can’t control. You can’t expect to have a baby in one month by making three women pregnant. This concept suggests that time is important. We need to be patient.

We can control our emotions, behaviors, and morals. The form of good morals is the cause of good life, and it is seen as it leads a person to act wisely.
